The Air Training Corps is one of the countrys leading youth organisations, partly supported by the RAF and partly as a charity. We provide a challenging environment for cadets to rise above the rest. Although some cadets aspire to join the armed forces, many have other careers in mind. Whichever direction their future lies most cadets find the experience and training gained during their time in the Corps as memorable as it is invaluable.
The Squadron is open to all boys and girls who are in school year 8 and above, and are under 18. At 18, subject to their previous service, cadets may progress to instructor cadet status and remain in the corps as a cadet until age 20.
Adults with an interest in aviation and the motivation to give our youth a leg up are also welcome to join the Corps, either as a Civilian Instructor, or in uniform. A rewarding career as a volunteer awaits those who have something special to give - a little time and effort!
If you are interested in joining us as a Cadet or as an Adult our Join Us page has all the details, and an application form.
